Jetski engine rebuilds in Somerton Park

Teardown, inspection and careful rebuilds for tired or damaged jet ski engines, with reliability front of mind.

A ski that's lost compression, swallowed water or let go mid-season needs more than a service. We tear the engine down, find out why it failed and talk you through the options before any parts are ordered.

Everything is measured, machined where it's needed and assembled carefully, with reliability front of mind.

Whether it's a family ski that needs its engine refreshed or the base for something more serious, it gets the same care as the cars.

All makes welcome, including Sea-Doo, Yamaha WaveRunner and Kawasaki Jet Ski.

FAQs

Your questions,
answered straight.

What happens if water gets into a jet ski engine?

Water in the engine can cause serious damage, especially if it's left sitting or the engine keeps getting cranked over. Stop trying to start it and get it looked at as soon as you can.

Should I rebuild the engine or replace it?

It depends on the engine, what failed and what parts are available. We'll inspect it and give you honest options.

How long does a jet ski engine rebuild take?

It depends on what we find, parts availability and any machining needed. We'll give you a realistic timeline once the engine has been torn down and inspected.

How do I run in a rebuilt engine?

Follow the instructions you're given. Generally that means varying the revs, avoiding long stretches at full throttle early on, and an early oil change where it applies.

What usually causes a jet ski engine to fail?

Common causes include overheating, water getting in, missed maintenance, corrosion and general wear. Finding the cause matters, so the same thing doesn't happen to the rebuilt engine.
