How do I know if my shocks are worn?

Common signs are extra bounce after bumps, the car floating or wallowing at speed, nose dive under brakes, and cupped tyre wear. Leaking oil on the shock body is another giveaway. We can check them on the hoist.

Do I need a wheel alignment after suspension work?

Usually, yes. Changing springs, shocks, arms or ride height can change your wheel alignment, and running out of alignment wears tyres quickly and affects how the car steers. We'll let you know when an alignment is needed.

Are coilovers a good idea for a daily driver?

A quality coilover set up for the road can ride well and improve handling. The key is choosing the right kit and setting ride height and damping for how you drive, not just going as low or as stiff as possible.

What do suspension bushings actually do?

Bushings are the rubber or polyurethane mounts that locate your suspension arms. When they perish, the arms move around, causing clunks, vague steering and uneven tyre wear.

Will lowering my car make it ride harshly?

It depends on the parts. Lowering with the wrong springs or shocks can make a car crash over bumps. A matched setup can lower the car and still ride well, and we'll give you honest advice on the trade-offs.
